Thomas More Law Center Attorney Wins Ave Maria School of Law 2024 Distinguished Alumni Award

ANN ARBOR, MI — On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, the Alumni Board of Ave Maria School of Law announced its decision to award Thomas More Law Center attorney Erin Elizabeth Mersino with its 2024 Distinguished Alumni Award. The Award commended and recognized Mrs. Mersino for her,

“Dedication to excellence and your unwavering commitment to making a positive impact in both your community and beyond….”

Mrs. Mersino publicly thanked the Alumni Board and acknowledged, “I thank God every day for the exceptional legal education I received at Ave Maria Law School.”

Erin Mersino joined the Thomas More Law Center (“TMLC”) in 2011 after working for several years as an assistant prosecutor with the Oakland County, Michigan Prosecutor’s Office. Since joining TMLC, she has played an integral role in obtaining numerous victories at all levels of federal and state court to advance the Law Center’s mission to promote America’s Judeo-Christian heritage and moral values, a strong national defense, and an independent and sovereign United States of America.

Richard Thompson, TMLC’s President and Chief Counsel, commented, “Erin is the quintessential superwoman. Besides tirelessly working to restore America’s Judeo-Christian values, she raises five sons ranging in ages from 5 to 16 years old. What’s notable about Erin is that she works with joy and gratitude, and Christ in her heart.”

Erin has obtained first-of-its-kind injunctions to stop the overreach of the federal executive branch, has argued cases in courts across the country before some of our nation’s highest courts, and has won victories for TMLC’s clients at trial, in the appellate court and in the United States Supreme Court.

Erin now serves TMLC as its Chief of Supreme Court and Appellate Practice, while also handling some of the Law Center’s trial litigation.

The Thomas More Law Center defends and promotes America’s Judeo-Christian heritage and moral values. It supports a strong national defense and an independent and sovereign United States of America.
