The Bayside case is a great example of vigilance. Ms. Burke approached the Law Center over a year ago to ask for our help in getting a creche displayed in Bayside, NY. We helped her through the permitting process. We were able to get the Catholic League to donate the creche, and Council member Tony Avella assited in ushering it all through the bureaucracy. It took over a year, but we prevailed without having to resort to a lawsuit. This is a good example of how one concerned Christian citizen can make a difference. The Thomas more Law Center was proud to help Ms. Burke realize her dream of keeping Christ in Christmas.
