Financial Transparency Information

The Thomas More Law Center is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Privacy Policy

The Thomas More Law Center will not sell, share or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all donors’ names or personal information received by the Thomas More Law Center, both online and offline, on any Platform (“Platform”, includes the Thomas More Law Center website and mobile applications), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications.

Compensation

As our CEO is also our president and chief counsel, he does receive a salary for his legal work and legal guidance. Our CEO’s compensation is determined by the board members and officers, our CEO, as a board member, is permanently recused from this discussion and vote. Our CEO’s compensation is reviewed annually by the board members and officers.

Compensation for all staff and key employees is reviewed annually and approved as a budget line item by an officer and the CEO.

Joint Cost Allocation Statement

The Thomas More Law Center (“Law Center”) applies the standards set by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and allocates its joint activities. Guidelines and criteria in accounting standards allow a portion of certain materials to be allocated between program expenses and fundraising expenses.  The Law Center’s allocation of joint costs is reviewed by an external independent auditor as part of an annual audit of the Law Center’s financial statements. With allocation of joint costs, our program service expenses are at 78%. Meaning 78% of all donations given to the Law Center go directly toward funding litigation and education concerning constitutional issues.
