Today, November 11, 2024, is Veterans Day. This is the day that Americans specially set aside to remember the men and women of our Armed Forces throughout our Nation’s history, who by their service, heroic sacrifices, and courage, purchased for us the freedoms we enjoy today.
We honor the service of all our veterans whenever and wherever they served, in war and in peace.
Click here to watch a short excerpt of President Ronald Reagan’s Veterans Day radio address to the Nation given from Camp David, Md. on November 5, 1983.
“Veterans know better than anyone else the price of freedom, for they’ve suffered the scars of war. We can offer them no better tribute than to protect what they have won for us. That is our duty. They have never let America down. We will not let them down.” [excerpt from Pres. Reagan’s speech]
Let us take a moment to reaffirm President Reagan’s inspirational words and thank our veterans and their families for defending the freedoms we enjoy today — especially those who bear the wounds and scars of combat and their families and caregivers.
God bless our veterans and their families and God bless America!
