In a letter to Congressman Duncan Hunter, TMLC Attorney offers support of H.R. 290 – “War Memorial Protection Act”

May 8, 2012 by

Thomas More Law Center’s West Coast Regional Director, attorney Charles LiMandri, wrote an impassioned letter to Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-CA 53rd District) in support of House Resolution 290 –“War Memorial Protection Act.”  As atheist groups around the county seek to cleanse the public square of all religious symbols, TMLC continues it's long fight in the defense of war memorial crosses and religious liberty.

Recently, as mentioned in LiMandri’s letter, TMLC offered to defend the City of Woonsocket, Rhode Island at no charge after the city received a threatening letter from the Freedom From Religion Foundation demanding the cross be removed from their 91 year-old war memorial cross.
